FAQs

How do I book you?

I like meeting in person with brides and grooms to hear more about their wedding, their story, and what they are looking for in a photographer. After that you should be able to tell if I’m the right fit and best photographer for your specific needs. Once Contract is signed and Retainer is paid you are all set!

What payments options do you have?

I require a $600 non-refundable retainer to book your wedding along with a signed contract. The remaining balance is due 1 month prior to wedding.

What’s included in your wedding package?

All packages included meeting & consultations, complementary engagement session, online wedding gallery, next day preview, timeline assistant, USB drive, printing rights.

When does coverage start on the day of wedding?

We’ll meet 2 weeks prior to the wedding. By then the full itinerary of the day should be ready and we can finalize the schedule and start time.

Do you have insurance?

YES I DO! Some venues require vendors to have insurance and provide proof of insurance. I can provide a certificate to them if needed.

How many photos do you take during a wedding?

During a wedding I will shoot anywhere between 2,000-5,000 photos. I never delete any images while I shoot even if I know it is a bad one. This helps the camera to not over work and fail (it is a computer after all). Once home I trim this number down to get the final count for your gallery.

What does editing and retouching mean?

When you look at my wedding images you are seeing my artistic interpretation of that moment. I shoot all weddings in RAW which means that I don’t let the camera decide anything. I tell it what to do. Although that means more work in post-production it also gives me the ability to edit the photos in the style I want. All images get color corrected, proper contrast, and perfect exposure in the way I feel works best for the image. I also retouch images as needed. Whether it’s something small like a blemish on the skin or a distracting object in the background.

What if my wedding gets canceled?

Unfortunately I do not refund retainer fees. Once I book your date I do not book anyone else for that date.

Do you shoot with. an assistant?

I normally shoot weddings alone. I do provide a 2nd shooter option if you would like more coverage. This is a good option if the Bride and Groom are getting ready in different places. I usually stick with the bride for the getting ready portion of the day unless both parties are in the same location.

Do you provide RAW files?

No.

If we need to reschedule wedding date can we still use our retainer?

Absolutely. If the new date is available retainer can be used.

Do you do destination weddings?

YES! I love to travel. My destination weddings are the same price plus the cost of travel and accommodations if necessary.

Do you shoot all weddings you get inquired about?

I strongly believe in working with people you can see yourself being friends with. This is why I always ask to meet a bride and groom for an in-person consultation to see if we are a good fit for each other. My wife and I are a great team and support each other in everything that we do and we love working and becoming friends with couples that are like-minded and have that same connection. I stay friends with most couples and will go on and shoot their family photos and even other relative’s weddings and events.
